STATEWIDE — It couldn’t come at a worse time than right before Thanksgiving.
A labeling error has led to the recall of 500 cases of Heinz Home Style Bistro Au Jus Gravy.
The jars were mistakenly labeled as Heinz Pork Gravy, which does not show that the product contains milk and soy, according to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.
The labeling error could lead to the inadvertent consumption of milk or soy and cause health problems for those who are allergic to either substance.
So far, there are no reports of any illnesses caused by the error, but those who bought the jars should return them for a full refund.
