Gloria M. Gardner, age 86 of Batesville, Indiana passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Arbor Grove Village in Greensburg. The daughter of Clarence and Bertha (nee: Beneker) Kuehn was born on May 15, 1934 in St. Leon, Indiana.
Gloria graduated from Wm. Henry Harrison High School in 1952 and was a member of the Batesville United Methodist Church. Glo (as she was known to many) loved to fish, be outdoors, garden, play Hand and Foot with whomever would play. She liked to get together with friends for gatherings be it for lunch, games or just talking. She was also very fond of dogs and boxers were her favorite breed.
Glo especially loved to see people laugh and be happy. She cared about those who needed an uplifting “hello” or “hang in there”. Her interest in all her nieces and nephews was utmost in her thoughts. Questions about where each was and how their life was going came up repeatedly. And, Glo loved the Lord as she quietly kept her faith in Him. Gloria was a wonderful faithful lady, who will be dearly missed by many.
She is survived by her brother Raymond (Donna) Green of Clarksville, TN and sister Doris (the late Wayne) Emmert of Union, KY; 9 nieces and nephews and 17 great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Gardner in 2003.
Visitation will be Friday, July 24, 2020 from 9am-11am with an 11:00am funeral service all at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville. The family requests all those in attendance to wear a mask. Rev. Chris Renick officiating. Burial to follow in the Batesville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the church cemetery or donors choice. Due to the COVID-19 precautions, all attending will be asked to follow proper social distancing protocol, including wearing a mask. If you are not feeling well, or if you have compromised immune system, you are encouraged to stay home.
