Franklin County commissioners pass road debris ordinance

Brookville, In. — Franklin County commissioners have passed an ordinance regulating debris left on county roadways. If residents leave mud or debris on roadways for more than 24-hours they could be ticketed by a deputy.

The fines range from $100 to $500 for a third offense.

Commissioners say the ordinance was passed after a logging company created a traffic hazard during a recent project.
