Four Southeastern Indiana high school volleyball teams have been honored for their excellence in the classroom.
The American Volleyball Coaches Association and the United States Marine Corps announced that Batesville, Oldenburg Academy, Greensburg, and Lawrenceburg were among 1,200 college and high school volleyball teams to earn the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2021-22 school year.
The award was initiated in the 1992-93 academic year and honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale.
