INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — According to a video posted on Facebook by Senator Joe Donnelly’s office, the federal government now officially refers to Indiana residents as Hoosiers.
The Government Publishing Office had been calling Indiana residents “Indianans.”
The change will be made in the federal government style guide.
Donnelly called the inclusion “welcome and long overdue.”
