UPDATE (Friday, December 1): The damage estimate is around $1 million after the fire destroyed the home.

(Bright, IN) – A family and their dog made it safely out of a burning home on the 20,000 block of Augusta Drive near Bright Wednesday afternoon.
The house was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived around 2:30 p.m., and the blaze quickly spread through the attic.
A gas line is believed to have ignited the fire, but investigators are still trying to piece together the official cause.
There’s also no word on a damage estimate.
