Eunice N. King, 92

Eunice N. King, 92, Greensburg, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Greensburg. Born October 23, 1926 in Greensburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of Cooper and Zora (Ellis) King.  Eunice graduated in 1944 from Greensburg High School.  She enlisted in the Air Force in 1950 and retired in 1970 as a Senior Master Sergeant after 20 years of service.  Eunice received the service award ribbon with 4 bronze oak leaf clusters, the National Defense Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star along with several other medals while in the military. She was a member of the First Church of God, the church women’s group, the Greensburg Adult Center, the Pythian Sisters, and the American Legion in Westport. She worked with the Meals on Wheels Program where she delivered meals to the homebound for 11 years.  She also worked with Caring Connection, driving clients to appointments. She is survived by nieces, Carol Faye Rathburn, Greensburg, Diane Fisher, Connersville; several great, great great, and great great great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Mary Lawrence, Mildred Bushnell, Opal Childers; three brothers, Earnest, Curtis, and Harry Childers. Graveside Services with full military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019 at the South Park Cemetery with Rev. Terry Canfield officiating.
