BATESVILLE – More than one hundred local teachers, administrators and coaches will be recognized during the Batesville K12 Mascot Run Saturday.
Teachers receive recognition along the race course through a donation by a student or community member. Proceeds go to the Batesville Community Education Foundation to support grant requests for new and innovative programs, projects and classroom tools.
Educators past and present are being recognized. As of Friday morning, Batesville High School and Oldenburg Academy had the largest number of recognized teachers at 23 each.
Additional schools with representation include BPS, BIS, BMS, St. Louis School, Miss Sarah’s Schoolhouse and YMCA. View the list here >>
The K12 Mascot Run begins at 8:30 a.m. with registration an hour earlier.
The event features an option for walkers and runners of any age level to participate. There is the BCEF 12K Run/Walk, the Applefest 5K, and the Family Fun 3K Trail Trek.
