Dorothy Clark, age 101, passed away Monday, December 9, 2019, at her daughter’s home in Sarasota, Florida. Born September 1, 1918 in Aurora, Indiana the daughter of William Henry and Christine Mae (Godfrey) Cheek.
Dorothy married Kenneth E. Clark and worked for 38 years at the Red Cross Shoe Factory in Harrison, Ohio. She was a member of Rolling Hills Baptist Church in Fairfield, Ohio and Gulf Gate Church in Sarasota, Florida. She enjoyed crocheting, canning and preparing food for her family. She loved people and was a prayer warrior. She was a Cincinnati Reds Baseball fan.
Survived by her daughter Judy (Eddie) Morris of Sarasota, Florida. Grandmother of Bruce Carlise, Tina Clark, Cathy Neely, Russell Morris and Kimberly Clark, great grandmother of Matthew Carlise, Josh Clark, Janelle Steggs, Tobias Pettie, Jordan Pettie, Sydney Benton, Danielle Morris, Lacy Robinson, Ryan Palazotto and Alexander Michael Kuzmin, great, great grandmother of Foster Allen Robinson. Sister of Marion Holloway of Brownstown, Indiana.
Proceeded in death by her parents William Henry and Christine Mae Cheek, her husband Kenneth E. Clark, her son Richard Clark, granddaughter Brenda Clark and 6 brothers and sisters.
Visitation Monday, December 16, 2019 from 11:00 A.M. to the time of funeral services at 1:00 P.M. with Danny Rollins of Rolling Hills Baptist Church officiating all at Jackman Hensley Funeral Home 215 Broadway Street Harrison, Ohio 45030. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Cemetery in Harrison, Ohio.
