Greensburg, In. — A Decatur County resident was sentenced to five years in prison for domestic violence crimes this week. Michael Wayne Clark was convicted of aggravated battery, interfering with reporting a crime and invasion of privacy. The violations were also violations of his probation.
Prosecutor Nate Harter says, “Taking into account the wishes of the victim, we believe the sentence is appropriate and we are grateful that justice was served in this case. The subject of domestic abuse cannot be taken lightly, and remains a constant threat to the peace and dignity of Decatur County. We hope that Mr. Clark understands the gravity of his actions, and that his sentencing serves as a reminder of the consequences of such behavior.”
