(Greensburg, IN) – Decatur County Memorial Hospital (DCMH) is proud to announce the overwhelming success of its recent Total Joint Day, which drew the highest number of registrations in the event’s history.

Held on Saturday, September 27, the program filled the room for two back-to-back sessions, demonstrating strong community interest in joint health and treatment options.

Total Joint Day was designed for adults experiencing knee, hip, or shoulder pain, offering both screening and education to help participants better understand their pain and treatment options.

Each registered participant received:

  • A complimentary X-ray of the affected joint (completed before the event)
  • A free breakfast
  • An education session led by board-certified, Fellowship Trained orthopedic surgeon Dr. Eric Tannenbaum

The sessions offered a supportive setting where community members learned about the causes of joint pain, explored both non-surgical and surgical treatment options, and connected with DCMH’s orthopedic care team.

“Seeing the room filled twice in one morning was a powerful reminder of how many people in our community are seeking answers and support for joint pain,” said Rex McKinney, President and CEO of DCMH. “We are proud to provide resources that make a real difference in people’s daily lives.”

DCMH extends its gratitude to all who attended and emphasizes its continued commitment to offering community health programs that provide education, resources, and direct connections to local experts.
