UPDATE: Boil Advisory Issued for Batesville Neighborhood Lifted

(Batesville, IN) – The Boil Advisory for Columbus Avenue from EGS Boulevard to State Road 46 has been lifted by the Batesville Water Utility.

The Batesville Water Utility has issued a Boil Advisory following a water main break on the west side of town.

The advisory is in effect until further notice for Columbus Avenue from EGS Boulevard to State Road 46.

A boil advisory is a precautionary measure issued by the water utility to alert customers when there is a potential for compromised water quality.

It is recommended that you boil all water used in the preparation of food and beverages for consumption for two minutes.

Water used for laundry, showering, or shaving is safe to use without boiling.
