Bobette E. Robbins, 62, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Bobette was born on June 22, 1959, in Indianapolis, IN as the daughter of Ellis Starnes and Pamela Hensley.
Bobette graduated from Greensburg High School in 1978. Not long after graduating Bobette went to work at Stories Restaurant in Greensburg where she eventually became the head cook. Bobette would spend the next 40 years working at Stories and being a major part of a staple in the Greensburg Community. Bobette went on to marry her husband, Thomas E. Robbins. She had a true love for animals, especially her dogs. In her free time, she enjoyed working in her flower garden, the beach, collecting dolls, and spending time with family and friends. Bobette was known for her friendly, happy, and funny demeanor. She was and always will be a devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Bobette is survived by her husband, Thomas E. Robbins; her three fur babies: Miley Mae, Bella, Mazy Mae; stepdad and mother, Dennis and Pam Hensley; sister; Desiree (Paul) Strohm; stepsiblings: Jay (Laura) Pennington, Mary Jo (Bob) Kelsey, Penny Ann (Kevin) McFall; aunt, Paulette (Ronnie) Moore; aunt, Cynthia (Mike) Deckard; uncle, Mike Starnes; brothers-in-law: Bill (Brenda) Robbins, Gary (Debbie) Robbins, Bill Owens; sister-in-law, Wanda (Rick) Ebinger; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; great great nieces and nephews; cousins; and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eliis Starnes; stepmother, Marjorie Pennington; in-laws, Grace (Gene) Robbins; grandparents: Meribah (Carl) Beck, Netia (Floyd) Starnes; and sister-in-law, Sandy Owens.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. The funeral service will start immediately following the visitation at 6:00 pm, also at the funeral home.
