The 6th graders (8-2) are in action next on Sunday, January 15th at Jac-Cen-Del High School at 2:00 vs. Greensburg and at Jac-Cen-Del Elementary School at 4:00 vs. South Decatur.

5th Grade Bulldogs @ Union County High School.

In a rematch of last year’s Dirt Road Championship, the young Bulldogs jumped out early on the defending champs with aggressive defense.  After a time out with four minutes to play in the first half and the score tied at 12, the team settled down with solid ball handling to close the half with a four point lead it never relinquished.  The youngsters forced the Red Devils into only 19% shooting for the contest and out-rebounded the squad 31-21. Leading the for the Bulldogs was Chris Lewis with 11 points, Gus prickle with 9 and Sam Johnson with 8.  Jack Grunkemeyer was a horse on the boards with 8, while Lewis and Prickle each had 7 caroms.  Prickle also was solid leading the offense with 3 assists.

Batesville 25, Northeastern 14
The youngsters continued their solid defense and hustle in game two on the day, holding the Knights of Northeastern to 23% shooting and out-rebounding the opponent 31-15 in a game that was never in question. Grunkemeyer led the team in scoring with 9.  Brendan Heiser and Prickel each tallied 4.  Grunkemeyer cleaned up the glass with another 8 rebounds, while Landon Oldham was solid with 7 boards.  Grunkemeyer and Prickel each had two assists.

The 5th graders (9-1) are in action next Sunday, January 15th at South Decatur High School at 2:00 vs. Greensburg 1 and at 4:00 vs. Rising Sun.

4th Grade Bulldogs @ Batesville Primary School.  
Batesville 28, Rushville 4
Cade Kaiser led the squad with 7, Jacob Stenger tallied 5, and Will Jaisle and Carson Schneider each had 4.

Batesville 39, Waldron 9
Cade Kaiser paced the team with 11, Jacob Stenger added 8 and Carson Laker 6.    The 4th graders (7-3) are in action next on Sunday, January 15th at Centerville High School at 2:00 vs. Northeastern and at 4:00 vs. New Castle.
