(Batesville, IN) – The Batesville High School athletic department has announced its first-ever D.A.W.G. Awards
(Dedicated, Accomplished, Winners striving for Greatness) for Tuesday, May 30, at the Batesville Cafeteria & Auditorium.
It will include a dinner at 5:30 pm followed by an awards presentation at 7:00 pm. Awards will range from academic honors to performance-based accomplishments to volunteer and lifetime service. The awards will be presented to BHS student-athletes of all grade levels. Additionally, two seniors will be presented with $500 scholarships.
Student-athletes will be nominated by their peers, coaches, and teachers. There will also be a couple awards recognizing achievements from community members.
The program is being presented by the athletic department with the assistance and leadership of various community members and parents of student-athletes.
