Annette Jenkins, age 85 of Sunman, was born on March 20, 1939 in Pine Top, KY a daughter to the late Delza and Dallas (Slone) Amburgey. She attended The Old Regular Baptist Church of Jesus Christ in Sunman, IN. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and mother-in-law. She enjoyed quilting, flowers, tending to her garden and liked to travel. On Friday, June 7, 2024, at the age of 85, she passed away at The Waters of Batesville, IN.
Those surviving who will cherish Annette’s memory include her daughter Sherry (Wayne) Byrd; brother, Elwood (Charlotte) Amburgey; 6 grandchildren, Brooks Dobbs, Tasha (Kirk) Bailey, Jessica Jackson, Zachary Jackson, Chet Hall and Justin Lee; several great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Annette was preceded in death by her son, Chester Lee Jackson; 7 brothers, Radford, Billy Wayne, Darrell, Agnil, Denzil, Delza Jr. and Arthur Amburgey; sister Christine Richardson and grandson, Chester “Chet” Lee III.
Services for Annette will be Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 12PM at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home 107 Vine Street Sunman, IN 47041. Friends may visit from 11AM until time of service. Burial to follow in Little Memory Cemetery in Sunman, IN with Chad Schwering to preside.
Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in Annette’s memory to Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home to help defray funeral costs.
