Batesville boys track finishes its season at Regional

The Batesville boys track team’s season came to an end on Thursday night when they traveled to Greenfield-Central High School for the Regional track meet. The Bulldog finished the competition with 2 sets of 6th place finishes in the 4x800m relay and 4x400m relay. The 4x800m relay team of Jake Chapman, Isaac Trossman, Deev Ranka, and Cannon Clark worked together to run an 8:23.46. The 4x400m relay team of Gage Pohlman, Deev Ranka, Cannon Clark, and Blake Hornberger

Batesville would grab their second 6th place finish in the final race of the night, the 4x400m relay. The Bulldogs were in the slower heat but ran for a personal best as a team and won their heat, setting them up for an incredible 6th place finish (originally seeded 13th). The 4X4 relay team consisted of Gage Pohlman, Deev Ranka, Cannon Clark, and Blake Hornberger.

Jake Chapman also ran the 3200 with a 10th-place finish, Hudson Kohlman placed 12th in the pole vault, Ayden Eckstein finished 13th overall in the high jump, and Gage Pohlman took 14th overall in the 110 hurdles.
