She graduated high school from Immaculate Conception Academy in Oldenburg, IN in 1961. After attending business school courses, she worked secretarial jobs for many years before taking time to raise her three children. With kids in tow, she enrolled full time in college, earning her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from IUPUI in 1982. She later returned there to complete her MBA in 1994.
Ann was passionate about education, and hers enabled her career as a Human Resources Manager. Her most recent position was at NTN Driveshaft in Columbus, from where she retired. She was a detail-oriented professional and a strong advocate for employees who helped them understand and maximize their compensation plans, develop their careers, and strengthen their performance at work.
Ann found tremendous value in her Catholic upbringing and was a visible steward of the mission of the Church. As a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Franklin, IN, she served as a greeter and Eucharistic minister for masses, visited homebound parishioners and prisoners, did bible study, and volunteered at the school. Ann also prized her independence and strove to help others achieve that as a member of the Bridges Alliance of Johnson County, an organization that helps people break out of poverty. She used her business savvy to mentor others on personal finance skills, job searches, and their pursuits in higher education. Ann enjoyed a wide variety of activities. She loved to spend time outdoors tending gardens, working in the yard, and conquering whatever home improvement or car repair challenge came her way. She quenched her curiosity and thirst for knowledge by reading avidly and traveling. She was an excellent seamstress who mended clothes, made drapes, and did sewing projects with her grandkids. She was devoted to her family and friends and could be counted on to support them in all manner of sporting events, concerts, religious occasions, fairs, and school events.
