Mr. Robert Leslie “Lee” Gullion Sr.

Mr. Robert Leslie “Lee” Gullion Sr., age 78, of Madison, Indiana, entered this life on June 17, 1942 in Rising Sun, Indiana. He was the son of the late Verle and Mary Barbara (Chandler) Gullion. He was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana and attended Vevay High School. Lee was in the Army Reserves for 4 years and was honorably discharged in June 1966. Lee was employed for Paul Hankins’ Gulf Service Station in Vevay, Indiana for several years. He later owned and operated Shell Service Station in Vevay, Indiana for several years. In 1983, Lee was employed as a truck driver for Ranger Transportation in Jacksonville, Florida until May 2001. He moved back to Madison, Indiana and was employed as a mechanic for Larry Davis in Madison, Indiana. Lee was a member of the Jefferson Post 9 of the American Legion and a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #34. Lee passed away at 5:42 p.m., Monday, January 4, 2021, at the King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

Lee is survived by his daughter, LeeAnne Cooper and her husband, Howard of Fernley, NV; his son, Robert Leslie “Robbie” Gullion, Jr. of Reno, NV; his grandchildren, Nathan, Alex, Kaitlyn and Laney; his great-grandchildren, Paisley, Cearra and Ellee; his sisters, Barbara Jean Peelman of Vevay, IN and Mary Ann Leap of Madison, IN; his brother-in-law, Don Adamski of Madison, IN; his nieces and nephews; his special great-niece, Samantha Gullion and his special great-nephew, Colton Gullion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Verle and Mary Barbara (Chandler) Gullion; his brother, Rev. George “Buddy” Elmer; his sisters, Ethel Marie Adamski and Dianna Sue (Gullion) Konkle and his brothers-in-law, Mike Leap and Harold Peelman.

Interment will be in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.
