St. Nicholas Volleyball Teams Win Against Batesville

VolleyballThe St. Nicholas 7th and 8th teams defeated Batesville Bulldogs at Batesville on Thursday (9-4).

In the 7th grade game, it was St. Nick over Batesville 25-15 in set 1 and 25-15 in set 2. The 7th grade team is now undefeated with a record of 5-0.

In the 8th grade game, it was also St. Nick over Batesville 25-16 and 25-13. The 8th grade team is perfect in regular season with a record of 5-0, but overall, including tourney play, their record stands at 7-1.

The 7th grade BMS volleyball team lost to St. Nicholas in 2 games. Scores were 15-25; 15-25.

Macy Prickel was perfect on all 10 of her serves earning 6 points. Abby Westerfeld was the top spiker with 3 kills, while Jade Pflum and Kayla Meyer chipped in with 4 and 3 good spikes respectively.

The 8th grade BMS volleyball team fell to a scrappy St. Nicholas team by the scores 16-25; 13-25.

Kylie Wanninger was 11 for 11 from the service line with 8 points including 4 aces. Tori Kurtz, Jennifer Speer, Maggie Walsman, and Caitlynn Werner each had a kill in the front line.

The teams will travel to North Decatur on Tuesday, September 9th with the 7th grade game beginning at 6 PM.
