Kathleen M. Gullion, 98, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, formerly of Rising Sun, Indiana, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017.
She was born January 2, 1919 in Switzerland County, IN, daughter of the late Henry D. and Dorothy Peters.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greendale. Kathleen was a dealer of antiques and fine furniture, retiring from Closson’s after 34 years of service. She was a member of the Phi Beta Psi, Rising Sun Chapter in the 1950’s. Kathleen was also a Committee Chair Person for the Democratic Party of Ohio County and worked for the Ohio County Court House Highway Department in the 1950’s. Kathleen loved time with her family and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are daughters, Nancy (Gene) Henry of Aurora, Indiana, Cynthia Gullion Jupin of Erlanger, KY; grandchildren, Paul (Shelly) Henry, Lindsy (Bob) Barrix, Laura Townsend, Patrick (Jodi) Henry, Lee Ann Henry, Amanda (Corey) Walston, Cassie (Michael) Bonacci; and 10 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Mary Charlotte Peters and brother, Billy Peters.
Friends will be received Monday, April 24, 2017, 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm in the Martin Chapel, at the First Baptist Church Greendale, 45 Tebbs Ave, Greendale, Indiana 47025.
Services will be held at the Church, Tuesday at 11:00 am with Mark Tanner officiating.
Interment will follow in the Rising Sun New Cemetery, Rising Sun, Indiana.
