(Batesville, IN) – The 22nd annual WRBI/St. Louis Catholic Church Blood Drive collected a significant amount of units for Hoxworth Blood Center on Wednesday.
During the blood drive at the St. Louis Parish Center, a total of 75 units were collected, which Hoxworth says will potentially save 225 lives.
Eighty-four volunteers registered to donate.
Hoxworth says the blood collected at this week’s event will help ensure there is an adequate blood supply for patients in the community and goes to save the lives of family, friends, and neighbors throughout Southeastern Indiana and other parts of the Tri-State.
Hoxworth Blood Center is the sole provider of blood products to over 30 Tri-State hospitals, including Margaret Mary Health and St. Elizabeth Dearborn.
