UPDATE: Extended Winter Weather Advisory for the area

Update—

The Winter Weather Advisory has been extended from 11 pm tonight through Tuesday morning at 10 am for portions of Southeast Indiana, Northern Kentucky, and Central, South Central, and Southwest Ohio.

Expect periods of accumulating snowfall and a period of freezing rain.  Expect total snow accumulations could be up to an inch and a glaze of
ice accumulation up to a tenth of an inch.

Plan on slippery road conditions that could impact travel in the area.  Slow down and use caution while traveling.

 

Original Story—

There is a Winter Weather Advisory out for all the WRBI listening area that is in effect from 5 pm Sunday through 7 am Monday morning.

Mixed precipitation is expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches and ice accumulations of a light glaze. Portions of East Central and Southeast Indiana, Northern Kentucky and Central, south Central, Southwest and West Central Ohio from 5 pm this afternoon to 7 am EST Monday.

Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute. Precipitation will start mainly as snow with much of the snow accumulation occurring by midnight. Snow will mix with or change to freezing rain, and possibly plain rain near the Ohio River, as precipitation tapers off.

Slow down and use caution while traveling.
