William “Scott” Hill

William “Scott” Hill, 71, of Florida, formerly of Aurora, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 2, 2025, in Tampa, Florida.
Born on September 17, 1953, at home in Aurora, Indiana, Scott was the son of Joyce Hill and the late Stanley Hill. A proud U.S. Army Veteran, Scott served his country with honor. Through the Veterans Affairs (V.A.), he was trained as a bio-medical technician, a career that took him to all 50 states and twice to Russia for charitable causes.
After retiring, Scott embraced his love for life. He grew his hair long and purchased his beloved Harley Davidson, riding whenever he had the chance.
Scott is lovingly remembered by his mother, Joyce Hill; two daughters, Regan and Ericka Hill (Micah); his grandson, Jace Gabbard; and his sisters, Susan Levi, Rose Jarrett, Flo James (Ed), Sandy Hill, and Debbie Goodpaster. He is also mourned by his girlfriend, Lucy Parker, as well as countless other family members and friends who cherished him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Hill, and his infant brother, David Hill.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Vernon Cemetery, located at 315 S. Pike Street, Vernon, Indiana 47282. Following the service, a meal and celebration of Scott’s life will be held at Nash’s Restaurant, 51 N. Madison, North Vernon, IN 47265.
Scott will be missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of service, love, and joy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
