RIPLEY COUNTY, Ind. – Indiana Conservation Officers will conduct a wildlife checkpoint at an undisclosed location in Ripley County on Sunday, November 16.
The checkpoint is from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m.
It is intended to help enforce state and federal wildlife laws and to encourage safety and sportsmanship by promoting voluntary compliance with the laws and regulations.
Motorists should expect minimal delays and will be asked if they have been hunting or transporting wildlife. An affirmative answer will result in further inspection by Indiana Conservation Officers, which should also result in minimal delay.
Conservation Officers remind hunters and anglers to make sure they are familiar with the fish and wildlife laws and regulations before entering the field.
Saturday is opening day of firearms deer season.
