The Batesville Lady Bulldogs were 58-46 winners at South Dearborn on Saturday evening. The BHS varsity basketball team led at each quarter break, but it was close at each of the first three stops. Batesville led 13-8 at the end of the first quarter and later 25-24 at halftime. Three Batesville players scored in double figures. Carlie Werner led the way with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Ashley Nobbe finished with 12 points followed by Makayla Granger-Young with 11.

The Batesville Lady Bulldogs suffered a 61-40 loss at home to East Central. The Lady Trojans led 11-7 at the end of the first quarter and later 25-11 at halftime. Batesville was more successful offensively in the second half with 19 points, but could not make up any ground. Carlie Werner led the Lady Bulldogs with 13 points, three assists and five rebounds. Makayla Granger-Young and Macy Prickel each had four rebounds.
