(Dearborn County, IN) – A familiar scam is once again making the rounds.
The Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office says they have received a number of calls from residents about a scam involving the spoofing of the agency’s dispatch number – (812) 537-3431.
Scammers have been telling residents they have an outstanding warrant and ask for money to resolve the issue.
Deputies say they do not conduct business this way, and you’re urged not to send money to anyone you don’t know.
