Virginia R. “Jinny” Werner, age 81 of Batesville, died Thursday, May 12, 2022 at St. Andrews Health Campus. Born September 2, 1940 in Batesville, she is the daughter of Nellie (Nee: Springman) and John Faust. She married Virgil Werner July 16, 1960 at St. Louis Church. Jinny worked in the finance department at the Hill-Rom Company 19 years before retiring in 2002 and was a member of the Ripley Co. V.F.W. Post #3183 Ladies Auxiliary and the Prell-Bland American Legion Post #271 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband Virgil; daughters Donna Dykes of Greensburg, Melissa (John) Scott of French Lick, Indiana; son Bryan (Robyn) Werner of Greenwood, Indiana; seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her son Jeffrey Werner; sister Eunice Riehle and brothers Ralph and Norbert Faust.
Visitation is Monday, May 16th from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 17th at St. Louis Church with Rev.
