Virginia A. “Ginny” (Tapping) Lewis, 76, of Milan passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville. Ginny was born on Thursday, November 13, 1947, in Bristol, Virginia; daughter of Robert O. Tapping and Betty W. Tapping. Ginny married the love of her life, Bruce Lewis on September 18, 1972, and he survives. Ginny loved flowers, gardening, and sewing. She also enjoyed reading books, cooking, and painting ceramics.
Ginny will be missed by her loving husband Bruce Lewis of Milan; sons Bruce (Malisa) Lewis II of Monroe, Ohio and Jason (Stacy) Lewis of Dillsboro; daughters Lisa (Ben) Precht of Connersville and Laura (Jeremy) Eckstein of Sunman; sister Margaret (Bill) Wegley of Nevada; 13 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Ginny was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Betty Tapping.
There are no services at this time. Memorials may be given in honor of Ginny to Operation Smile or the Ronald McDonald House.
