Jennings County, IN — A Versailles man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Jennings County Saturday afternoon.
Indiana State Police say a Jeep driven by 40-year-old Jessica Parsons of Butlerville was eastbound on County Road 650 North near County Road 575 East when her vehicle left the road.
According to reports, Parsons overcorrected and her vehicle went into the path of a westbound car driven by 39-year-old Christian Schuler of Versailles.
The vehicles collided in the westbound lane.
Schuler was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in his car, 18-year-old Whittney Schuler, was seriously injured and was flown to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Parsons was taken to St. Vincent Jennings Hospital in North Vernon for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
State troopers say speed may be a contributing factor in the crash.
Toxicology results on both drivers are pending, and the investigation continues.
ISP was assisted by the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office, the Butlerville Fire Department, Jennings County EMS, the Jennings County Coroner’s Office, and Stat Flight Medical Helicopter.
