
(New Marion, IN) – Three people were entrapped following a two-vehicle crash at U.S. 421 and County Road 925 South around 3:15 Tuesday afternoon.
The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office says it was determined that 19-year-old Hailee Dowers of Versailles was driving north on US 421 when she lost control of her 2015 Chrysler 200 on the snow-covered road and struck a southbound 2018 Ford F150 driven by Ronald Prosser
Dowers and a 15-year-old passenger were flown to U of L Hospital in Louisville.
Prosser was Air Cared to UC Medical Center.
A 16-year-old passenger in Prosser’s vehicle was taken by ambulance to Norton Kings Daughters Health.
Investigators say drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the accident.
The Ripley County Sheriff’s Office received assistance from Indiana State Police and its Crash Reconstruction Team; Ripley County EMS; PHI Air Medical; Air Methods; University of Cincinnati Air Care; New Marion Volunteer Fire Department; Versailles Fire Rescue; Affordable Todd’s Wrecker, and Ripley County Communications.
