Ripley County, In. — Ripley County investigators believe alcohol and speed were factors in Saturday, May 5 crash on County Road 350 N near County Road 225 E.
Around 2 a.m. police say Dillon Engel, 20, of Batesville, drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a group of trees head-on. Alcohol and speed are suspected factors in the crash.
Engel and passenger, Kyle Taylor, 24, of Indianapolis, were taken to Margaret Mary Health for treatment. Engel was later transported to University of Cincinnati Hospital. The extent of their injuries is not known.
