(Decatur County, IN) – Two men are facing robbery charges following an incident that occurred on the 7200 block of North County Road 225 East in northern Decatur County on Friday afternoon.
The Decatur County Sheriff’s Offices says it received a call shortly after 4:30 p.m. that an armed robbery had taken place.
The report indicated two suspects fired a gun at the victims, but no one was hurt.
When deputies arrived, the two victims said they drove from Gas City to the address on 225 East to purchase a firearm they had found on Facebook Marketplace for $225.
When they met the suspects, identified as James Lee Goodwin of Greensburg and Justin Seeley of Rushville, the four of them shot off firearms.

Goodwin allegedly asked one of the victims if he could fire their handgun, which was handed over.
Deputies say Goodwin pointed the firearm at him, and the victim heard gunfire and felt something hitting him, which caused him to believe he had been shot.
It was later determined that he wasn’t hit by gunfire.
The victims feared for their safety and took off running.
One of them told deputies he knew both Goodwin and Seeley and that all four served time together in a juvenile detention facility.
A multi-agency investigation and search resulted in Goodwin and Seeley’s arrests within 12 hours of the incident.
Goodwin was charged with Armed Robbery (Level 3 felony) and Criminal Recklessness (Level 6 felony), while Seeley is charged with Robbery (Conspiracy; Level 3 felony).
The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office is thanking Decatur County Communications, the Greensburg and Rushville police departments, and the Greensburg Fire Department.
