Truck driver killed in I-74 crash

Shelby County, In. — Indiana State Police say a truck driver was killed in 5 p.m. accident on eastbound I-74 in Shelby County Wednesday.

Investigators say a car traveling in the left lane had a flat tire and began to move to the right. While exiting the roadway, the car pulled into the path of an eastbound semi-truck. The truck made an evasive move but still hit the right rear of the car and drove off the roadway. The truck overturned and slid into a wooded area. Police say the driver died on impact.

No names have been released. Alcohol and drugs are not suspected.
