Tri-County Coon Hunters collecting more donations for Kentucky tornado survivors

BATESVILLE, IN — Donations for Mayfield, Kentucky disaster relief will be collected again on Thursday, December 30 at the Tri-County Coon Hunters Association Gun Club.

Items will be accepted from noon until 4 pm at the club, which is located at 417 Coonhunters Road in Batesville.

A similar collection drive took place at the club on December 23.

An enclosed trailer will be staffed by people who will receive donations.

Needed items include:

AA batteries.
AAA batteries.
9-volt batteries.
Bottled water.
New blankets.
Baby diapers.
Personal hygiene items such as soap, shampoo, sanitary products, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and toilet paper.
Paper and plastic products such as paper towels, paper plates, bowls, cups, plus plastic knives, spoons, and forks.
Cleaning products.
New toys for children and other Christmas items.
Canned food and boxed items such as cereals and crackers.
Plastic tarps.
Empty gas and diesel cans.
Electrical extension cables
Propane cylinders with fuel.
Propane heaters.
Perishable items or used clothing will not be accepted.

Monetary donations by check only can be made out to “Kentucky Disaster Relief Fund.”

Mayfield, which is a town in Western Kentucky, was leveled by deadly tornadoes on December 10.
