Thomas Noel Gray, 55, of Milan, passed away at 1:35am, Friday, March 5, 2021 at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. He was born in Lawrenceburg on November 14, 1965 the son Gene and Marilyn Bales Gray. He married Kathy Brewington on January 4, 1993, and she survives. He was raised in the Bear Creek Baptist Church in Friendship and later attended the Versailles Baptist Church. Tom graduated from South Ripley High School in 1984. He joined the Marines after graduation until 1988 when he began working at Hill-Rom, then later at Valeo. He and his wife Kathy own and operate the Gooseberry Flower Shop in Versailles. Other survivors include sons Thomas (Meghan), Garrett (Bayleigh), and Jacob all of Milan: one daughter Becca Gray of Milan, father and mother-in-law Bob and Jeanette Brewington of Milan; two grandchildren Remington and Peyton; his mother Marilyn (Bales) Hunt of Versailles; special dear friends Annie and Brandon Knueven, three sisters Traci (Dwight) Bauman, Terri (Brian) Benning, and Toni (Winston) Halcomb all of Versailles. He was preceded in death by his father, his grandson Nolan Robert Gray, and brother in law Robert “Bobby” Brewington. Tom was proud of serving in the Marines, loved farming with his sons and father in law, and was a hard core Purdue Boiler Fan. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 9th at 10:30 am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Randy Thieman officiating. Burial will be in the Forrest Hill Cemetery in Moores Hill. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorials can be given to the Delaware Volunteer Fire Department or the Forrest Hill Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
