Tirana Kay (Buck) Craven, 57, of Wasilla, Alaska passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Health First’s Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida. Tirana was born Friday, March 1, 1963 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, the daughter of Kay (Wright) Buck and the late James Buck Jr. She married Jefferson “Jeff” Craven on December 18, 1982 and he survives. Tirana was a grocery cashier. She enjoyed quilting, sewing clothes, being a grandmother, teaching Pre-K for 3-year old’s, cooking, and being a military spouse for 39 years. She also enjoyed the beaches, especially the Florida beaches.
Tirana is survived by her husband Jeff of Alaska; daughters Jessica (Matthew) Verboom of Oregon, Trisha (Luke) Weber of Florida, and Triffawna (Jeremiah) Witt of Alaska; Mother Kay Buck of Dillsboro; brothers: Aaron of Vevay, Jeffrey (Donna) of Aurora, and Ricky Buck of Aurora; and grandchildren: Mylina, Zoe, Hunter, Axel, Holden, Shelby, Joleighna, and Jedidiah. She was preceded in death by her father James.
A service celebrating her life will be held 10 AM Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home in Milan with Pastor Carter Corbrey and Brent Wright officiating. Burial will follow in New Craven Cemetery. Family and friends may gather to share and remember her 4-7 PM Tuesday, August 11 also at the funeral home.
