Terry Lynn Pruss, 75, of Dillsboro, passed away Friday, October 1, 2021 at his residence with his loving family by his side. Terry was born Saturday, March 23, 1946, in Milan, Indiana, the son of Irvin and Alexina (Abbott) Pruss. He married the love of his life, Jill (Henson) Pruss, on November 11, 1967. Terry was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Farmers Retreat. He proudly served his country in the Army Reserve. He was the shipping supervisor for Seagrams. Terry was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed bird hunting with his dogs, fishing, flying his remote-controlled planes at his farm, and liked forestry. His greatest passion in life was spending time with his family and he had a great love for his bird dogs.
Terry will be greatly missed by his loving wife Jill of 53 years from Dillsboro; son Terry (Rebecca) Pruss of Rising Sun; daughter Tracy Pruss (Mitchell Honnert) of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother William “Barry” (Judy) Pruss of Bright; and grandchildren Paulina Pruss, Griffin Karceski, and Justin Honnert.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Alexina.
Family and friends may gather in remembrance of Terry from 10-11am on Friday, October 15, 2021 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Farmers Retreat, Highway 62, Dillsboro, IN 47018. A celebration of life service will be held immediately following at 11 AM also at the church with Rev. Richard Kolaskey officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Terry to the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Farmers Retreat.
