(Tell City, IN) – A Tell City police officer and a suspect died following a shooting early Monday.
Police responded just past Midnight to reports of a disturbance at Perry County Hospital where they encountered an armed suspect.
Gunfire was exchanged, and Sergeant Heather Glenn and the suspect both died at the scene.
Sergeant Glenn worked for the Perry County Sheriff’s Office and the Tell City Police Department for nearly 20 years.
Tell City Police Chief Derrick Lawalin said Sergeant Glenn was a good friend to everyone and will be missed, but not forgotten.
The investigation by Indiana State Police is ongoing.
