Jennings County, In. — An investigation into multiple thefts from vehicles in Jennings County has led to the arrest of a Plainfield man. A report from the Jennings County Sheriff’s Department says the investigation began after a series of thefts from vehicles involving firearms.
Deputies made contact with a male juvenile and Devon Craig, 18, of Plainfield, at a residence in the Geneva Township area. After questioning the pair admitted to stealing miscellaneous items, including firearms from 15 to 20 vehicles in the Scipio area.
Craig has charged with theft of a firearm, theft, unauthorized entry to a vehicle, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. The juvenile has been placed on house arrest pending actions in the juvenile court.
