(Versailles, IN) – The Tanglewood Baptist Legacy Fund has awarded $15,000 in its inaugural round of grants.
The fund was established earlier this year to serve the community and preserve the legacy of Tanglewood Baptist Church in perpetuity.
Three grants were awarded this week with additional recipients and projects to be announced at a later date:
*Child Evangelism Fellowship in Versailles has a mission of sharing the Gospel with children and families. Grant funds will be used to outfit their new training room and office space, as well as to support programming, such as Good News Club and Good News Camp.
*Southeastern Baptist Youth Camp in Westport is dedicated to providing youth camp opportunities to foster personal growth, community building, and spiritual development. Grant funds will be used to provide new camp activities, like Soctaball and Pocket Soccer courts, to enrich the camp experience and promote physical activity, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
*So Loved Kids Clothing Closet in Batesville provides every child asking for help with a week’s worth of clothing, as well as shoes and toiletries. Grant funds will be used to purchase new socks, underwear, and shoes.
