(Aurora, IN) – The National Weather Service has scheduled another in-person weather spotter training class in Southeastern Indiana later this month.
It’s set for Wednesday, April 19 from 6-8 pm at the Aurora Fire Station on Dutch Hollow Road.
The agency held a similar session earlier this week at the Ivy Tech Community College Batesville campus (pictured).
Spotters are trained volunteers who help keep their communities safe by providing timely and accurate severe weather reports to the National Weather Service.
The upcoming class on April 19 in Aurora is free and open to the public.
Contact the Dearborn County Emergency Management Agency at (812) 537-3971 if you have questions.
In addition to the in-person class, the agency is conducting virtual spotter training on May 2.
