
(Southeastern IN) – Several tornado watches and warnings were issued when severe storms rumbled through Southeastern Indiana Friday night.
There reports of damage caused by the violent weather in northern Ripley County, particularly near Sunman and Penntown.
State Road 101 between county roads 900 and 1000 North was closed late Friday because of downed trees and power lines (pictured).
The road reopened around 10:00 Saturday morning.
State Road 129 in Ripley County between State Road 350 and County Road 500 North in the Delaware area was shut down in both directions all weekend because of storm damage.
INDOT reopened the road around 6:00 Monday morning.
A barn roof was destroyed and other buildings were reported damaged in Dearborn County northeast of Sunman.
There was also wind damage reported in Franklin County where a couple of trees were knocked down between Cedar Grove and New Trenton.
No one was injured in the area as a result of the rough weather.
