INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — State Representative Randy Frye honored a local hero after saving a life by performing CPR.
Sam Maggard was eating lunch in Milroy in January, when Jean Harcourt’s, who was also having lunch, heart stopped beating.
Maggard performed CPR on Harcourt for more than 30 minutes until emergency personnel arrived.
Doctor’s noted the importance of Maggard’s CPR ability and his administration of it in saving Harcourt’s life.
House Resolution 46 commended Maggard for his ability to quickly analyze the situation and administer CPR.
The resolution also urged all Hoosiers to take part in CPR training.
