State Police investigating West College Corner stabbing

West College Corner, IN — Indiana State Police are investigating a stabbing that took place shortly after midnight Tuesday in West College Corner.

Two men from West College Corner – 28-year-old Adam Wyatt and 31-year-old Joshua Hacker – got into a physical altercation. Wyatt suffered a stab wound and was taken by a friend to McCullough-Hyde Hospital in Oxford, Ohio, and later flown by helicopter to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he underwent surgery for what are reportedly non-life-threatening injuries.

State Police say the incident remains under investigation while detectives try to figure out if the stabbing was in self-defense. No arrests have been made.

The results of the investigation will be forwarded to the Union County Prosecutors Office for review.

ISP was assisted at the scene by the Union County Sheriff’s Office and the Liberty Police Department.
