Stanley Trojak, age 95 of Harrison, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville, Indiana. Born January 12, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois, he is the son of John and Caroline (Nee: Krezel) Trojak. He married Valerie Dominick on September 1, 1956, at St. Richard’s Church in Chicago and she preceded him in death on April 5, 2006. Stanley was a Pressman for the Chicago Tribune and Salt Lake Tribune Newspapers, before retiring. He was an Army veteran during the Korean War having served from 1951 – 1953 and achieved the rank of Sergeant.
Stanley loved to golf, play keno while he was in Las Vegas, and always loved his burgers and fries. A home cooked meal was always his favorite, especially Polish dishes. When it came to TV he watched “Bull” probably more than 100 times. We wouldn’t be surprised if he could recite it verbatim. Stan was always a joker and could make people laugh. He had many stories to tell, and it amazed us how much he remembered at 95. Valerie was the love of his life as were his daughters, grandsons and great grandchildren. He was a wonderful Father and will be greatly missed by all of us.
He is survived by his daughters Debbie (Bob) Novak of Lindenhurst, Illinois and Sue (Perry) Bahr of West Harrison, Indiana; grandchildren Robert (Erika) Novak of Las Vegas, Nevada, Nick (Megan) Novak of Lake Mills, Wisconsin and Jake (Jessie) Bahr of Harrison, Ohio; great grandchildren Bobby, Oliver, Henry and Simon Novak and Theo and Wren Bahr; sister-in-law Ann Trojak and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Stanley was preceded in death by his siblings, Marie, Claire, Eleanor, Joan, Emily, Dorothy and Wally and also his great granddaughter Blakeley Bahr.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation was chosen by the family, and a service will be held at a later date. For online condolences go to www.weigelfh.com.
