Batesville Middle School basketball enters Thanksgiving Break after coming away with a sweep of Franklin County on Monday night in Brookville. It was the 7th grade Bulldogs over the Wildcats 41-27. Rowan Maple led all scorers with 13 points while Otter Johnson added 10. BMS improves to 9-2…In the 8th grade contest, it was Batesville over Franklin County 42-34. Logan Schneider scored 16 points in the second half and finished with 21 for the 10-0 Bulldogs.

St. Louis split at home with Benjamin Rush. The Cardinals won the 7th grade game 32-23. Nicholas Lieland led St. Louis with 13 while Carter Meyer chipped in 11. Benjamin Rush took the 8th grade tilt 53-31. Cam Walke paced St. Louis with 17 points.

The Detroit Pistons held off the Indiana Pacers 122-117 in NBA action heard last night on the Sports Voice. Paskal Siakam led the Pacers with 24 points. Indiana has lost 10 of its last 11 and falls to 2-15. The Pacers visit Toronto in an NBA Cup game tomorrow night.

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said on Monday that he anticipates Joe Burrow will start at quarterback against the Baltimore Ravens on Thanksgiving Night. Taylor told the media that they’ll monitor Burrow’s progress in a very short week of practice before making a final decision. Burrow has been out since suffering a turf toe injury in Week 2 against Jacksonville and subsequently undergoing surgery…Meanwhile, the Bengals waived quarterback Sean Clifford. The Cincinnati native was a second-year player who was signed to the active roster off the practice squad on October 31. Clifford was inactive for the past three games as the designated third quarterback.

On Monday Night Football, it was San Francisco over Carolina 20-9.
