In high school football sectional semifinal action last night, Batesville held off Franklin County 28-21…East Central blanked Seymour 35-0…It was Lawrenceburg all over Greensburg 59-6…North Decatur shut out Eastern Greene 35-0…and Milan dumped New Washington 37-6.

The Reds made a flurry of roster moves Friday. The team is bringing back left-handed reliever Brent Suter next season on a one-year, $2.5 million contract that includes a club option for 2026. The Reds declined an option on backup catcher Luke Maile, and right-handed pitcher Nick Martinez exercised the opt-out clause in his contract and is now a free agent. Right-handed pitcher Jakob Junis also declined his option and will get a buyout. And first baseman Ty France and outfielder Nick Martini elected to become free agents instead of accepting outright assignments to Triple-A Louisville.
In the NBA, the Pacers fell 125 to 118 in New Orleans to the Pelicans. Indiana is now 2-4 on the year.
In college football, #13 and 8-0 Indiana visits Michigan State, Purdue is home against Northwestern, Indiana State entertains North Dakota, Butler welcomes in Stetson, Kentucky goes to 7th-ranked Tennessee, and Louisville travels to #11 Clemson.
In NFL action tomorrow, the Bengals entertain the Las Vegas Raiders. Kickoff is at 1:00. The Colts visit the Minnesota Vikings for Sunday Night Football. That one will start at 8:20 p.m.
