East Central High School athletic director Kevin Moore has been named the Indiana Interscholastic Athletic Administrator’s Association (IIAAA) District 4 Athletic Director of the Year. Moore was recognized at a program last Sunday in Indianapolis. He has served as East Central’s AD since 2023, and just completed his 16th season as girls varsity basketball coach.

In college basketball, Xavier is hiring Richard Pitino as coach. The 42-year-old Pitino spent the past four seasons at New Mexico. He replaces Sean Miller, who departed the Musketeer program this week for the University of Texas. Richard Pitino will coach against his father, St. John’s Rick Pitino, at least twice a year in the Big East conference.
