
Milan claimed third place in the RCT with a 74-60 win over Jac-Cen-Del in the consolation game. The Indians’ Micah Norman led all scorers with 22 points; Gabe Riehle added 21 and Grant Langferman chipped in 12 points. Blake Wagner led the Eagles with 18 points; Neil Sullivan contributed 15 and Darian Grieshop added 10. Milan improves to 3-4 while Jac-Cen-Del slips to 3-7.
Batesville won the JV Ripley County Tournament with a 53-34 win over South Ripley in the championship game. The Bulldogs Winston Garrett led the way with 18 points; Hank Bohman added 15, and Levi Hunt contributed 11.
In other boys varsity games on Saturday, South Decatur topped Edinburgh 60-44; Shelbyville knocked off Greensburg 71-61; it was Dixie Heights of Northern Kentucky over East Central 61-44; and Hauser soared over North Decatur 82-57.
In girls basketball on Saturday, Class 3A #2 Greensburg ripped Franklin County 73-34, and 4A #14 East Central clipped Rushville 52-44.
North Decatur 8th grade topped Jac-Cen-Del 54-33 in boys middle school basketball on Saturday. Troy Brown tossed in a game-high 16 points. Teammates Ross Gorrell and Davis Scripture both had 15. The Chargers improve to 21-1.
